Paints donates to City of Hope for the ninth year in succession.
July 2007
ICI Paints has donated $207,500 to City of Hope, a biomedical research, treatment and educational institution in Cleveland, Ohio dedicated to the prevention and cure of cancer and other life-threatening diseases.
ICI Paints held a charity golf tournament on June 6 at Beechmont Country Club in Pepper Pike, Ohio to raise the money. It is the ninth consecutive year ICI Paints has held a charity golf tournament in support of City of Hope. This year's event featured more than 100 golfers from 75 participating companies from across the United States.
In 2001, ICI Paints was placed on City of Hope's "Million Dollar Wall," an exclusive list of companies that have given more than $1 million to support City of Hope through the Hardware/Home Improvement Industry, City of Hope's premier industry support group. These golf tournaments are supported by ICI Paints' vendors, customers and employees who contribute their time and money to make the donations possible.
"City of Hope truly provides hope for countless families across the country each year through groundbreaking medical research. ICI Paints is proud to support such an important cause," said Gary Anklowitz, Vice President of Sales for ICI Paints. "I cannot say enough about the generosity of our employees, vendors and customers who, for the past nine years, recognized the need to continue to support the important work of City of Hope." He added.
