Chief Executive Officer
David Hamill
David is General Manager of Akzo Nobel's Decorative Paints business and until January was Chairman and Chief Executive of ICI Paints and a main board director of ICI.
David Hamill joined the Company from Royal Philips Electronics where he held several senior positions.
David has broad experience in international business and has held senior management roles in Europe and Asia where he has gained considerable production, commercial, marketing and finance experience. He has a strong track record of leadership in global businesses with extensive experience in Asia and working with large retail groups.
Reporting to David Hamill, who will be responsible for Decorative Paints, the following managers will be in charge of the seven Decorative Paints business units:

Antoine Fady - Decorative Paints Continental Europe
This business unit will comprise of the following countries: Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Morocco and Tunisia. Antoine was responsible for Decorative Paints in Continental Europe and Packaging Coatings in ICI. Bart Jan Koopman, responsible for Decorative Coatings in Akzo Nobel Southern Europe, will now report to Antoine Fady.

Richard Stuckes - Decorative Paints UK, Ireland and South Africa
Richard was responsible for Decorative Paints in the UK, Ireland and South Africa for ICI. Helmut Twilfer, Building Adhesives, will now report to Richard.

Erik Bouts - Decorative Paints United States
In this role, Erik will be responsible for both the trade and retail businesses in the United States. Erik joins us from Strategic Management Consulting, New Jersey. He recently supported ICI North America as the interim manager for the retail business in Decorative Paints North America. David Loose, Decorative Paints Trade USA, will report to Erik.

Marcos Saveedra - Decorative Paints Latin America
Marcos was responsible for Decorative Paints in ICI Latin America.

Ruud Joosten - Decorative Paints Northern & Eastern Europe
This business unit includes the Nordics and Central & Eastern Europe, as well as Turkey and Greece. Ruud was responsible for Decorative Coatings in Akzo Nobel Northern Europe.

Ken Ng - Decorative Paints Asia
Ken was responsible for Decorative Paints in ICI China. Wilfried Brouwer, responsible for Akzo Nobel Decorative Coatings Asia, will hand over to Ken and fully step into the role as Executive Project Leader for the Akzo Nobel multi-site project in Ningbo, China.

In this position, Tony will support the integration of the Akzo Nobel and ICI decorative paints businesses.

Kerris was the Chief Marketing Officer in the Paints business in ICI. Kerris will, in her new role, report to David Hamill.

Peter Gommers - Strategy and Business Development Decorative Paints
Peter was responsible for Marketing and Strategy in Akzo Nobel Decorative Coatings. He will, in his new role, report to Derek Welch, Director of Corporate Strategy.

Sander Gunst - Controller Decorative Paints
Sander was Controller for Decorative Coatings in Akzo Nobel. He will report to Martin Potter, Director Corporate Control.

Silke Heitmann - Human Resources Decorative Paints
Silke was HR manager for the Decorative Coatings business in Akzo Nobel. She will report to Heiko Hutmacher, Senior Vice-President of Human Resources.
